What is Ragdoll Archers? Explore 3 Modes of the Game

Ragdoll Archers is a physics-based archery game developed by Ericetto and initially came out in May 2023. In the game, players play as a ragdoll-style stickman archer armed with a bow and arrows. The goal is to shoot, eliminate as many enemies as possible, survive, and upgrade while facing increasingly tough enemies.

The game has 3 modes:

  • 1 Player: You face waves of AI-controlled enemy archers. Aim to defeat as many of them as you can while staying alive as long as possible. 
  • PvP: You play against another player on the same device; both start with the same health and stamina and compete in 5 rounds to find the ultimate winner.
  • 2 Players (Co-op Mode): You and a friend team up to survive against waves of AI-controlled enemy archers.

How to Play Ragdoll Archers

To begin, select a game mode of your preference and jump into the battle. Whichever mode you opt for, the objective is the same: Defeat the rival archers using your bow and arrows and survive as long as possible by managing health and stamina.

Aim, shoot, and eliminate enemies

Aim carefully and shoot arrows toward rival archers, who spawn at random positions on the screen. Watch the trajectory line to predict your arrow’s path and adjust your aim for better accuracy if needed. Each enemy killed gives you a point or skull, which can then be used to upgrade your archer’s skills and abilities.

Hit the apples, which yield bonuses

You’ll earn +30 health and +30 stamina when hitting a red apple and a green apple, respectively. Also, hitting the yellow apple yields +30 health and +30 stamina, while collecting the yellow apple with wings gives you +90 health, +90 stamina, and +1 life.

Unlock unique arrows in Ragdoll Archers

You unlock a new special arrow each time you collect enough skulls, like 10, 20, or 30, in a single match. There is a wide range of unlockable arrows, ranging from electro to fire, balloon, trap, vampire, and more.

Upgrade your archer’s stats

You can spend earned skulls on upgrades like armor, health, lives, stamina, stamina refresh, pull speed, damage, and arrow slots. They all help you become a stronger and stronger archer.

Game controls

Single-player mode: Use the left mouse to attack and the spacebar to jump.

2-player mode:

  • Player 1: Use WASD to control the ragdoll archer and the left SHIFT key to jump.
  • Player 2: Use the arrow keys to control the archer and the right SHIFT key to jump.

Great Tips for Winning

  • Always aim for headshots to end fights faster.
  • Use jumping and perfectly angled shots to dodge incoming arrows while shooting.
  • Switch to special arrows for bosses or tougher enemies.
  • In co-op, assign roles between players, with one focusing on close enemies and the other on long-range threats.
